This is the Role:

The Senior Operator will report directly to the Production Supervisor and will be based out of the Factory in Byhalia, MS. You will be responsible for operating equipment in an effective and efficient manner according to company standards, specifications and policies to produce quality mineral fibre ceiling tile products within the company’s parameters of quality, material efficiency, and time efficiency. You will maintain a clean, safe and efficient workplace without jeopardizing product quality or the environment.

This is what you offer:

  • High school diploma or equivalent Career Readiness Certificate (CRC) minimum score of silver on CRT (Career Readiness Test)
  • Experience in machine set-up and computers
  • Must have a good understanding in how equipment operates in order to clear equipment safely
  • Good understanding of H+S requirements and ability to work in a safe manner
  • Understanding of key figures and how to maximize the output
  • Mechanical aptitude with experience trouble shooting equipment
  • Experience in a continuous manufacturing environment
  • The ability to read and understand written instructions and product specifications
  • Practical knowledge in a continuous flow automated manufacturing

Physical Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to stand/walk on concrete floors for 8 or more hours during the course of a day.
  • Must be able to work in high temperatures, in excess of 100 degrees Fahrenheit for several hours
  • during the day.
  • Must have good vision, with our without assistance, including the ability to visually detect aesthetic
  • quality non conformities
  • Plant environment can be dusty with airborne wool particles.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced high volume production facility.
  • Some lifting, bending, stooping, walking up/down stairs, fast pace walking for some distance.
