POSITION: Benefits & Payroll Analyst

The ROCKWOOL Group’s main business area is building insulation, providing thermal comfort along with fire safety and acoustical comfort for all types of buildings.

This is the Role:

The Benefits & Payroll Analyst reports to the North American Total Rewards Manager and will be based out of our Office in Chicago, IL.

Key Activities:

  • Partner with Payroll to execute accurate, timely and efficient processing, calculating and payment of payroll and related compensation.
  • Perform regular payroll audit and carry out year-end task ensuring accurate W2 forms are delivered to the employees.
  • Investigate and respond promptly on withholding discrepancies with Federal, States and Local agencies.
  • Assist and train supervisor on time and attendance function of payroll system.
  • Prepare and provide time and pay data reports as requested.
  • Administer employee benefits plans (group health, dental, vision, short- and long-term disability, life insurance, voluntary plans, flexible spending plan, 401(k) plan, etc.)
  • Ensures that benefits responsibilities are completed in a timely manner and understands end to end processes and customer experience.
  • Coordinates transfer of data to external vendors, plan providers, auditors and consultants.
  • Answering employee questions payroll and benefits.
  • Reconcile benefits/insurance invoices.

This is what you offer:

  • Minimum 3 years of benefits administration and payroll processing experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, collaboration and documentation skills.
  • Aptitude to make data-driven recommendations, understand competing business priorities, and make prudent trade-offs while driving results to deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate in both technical and user-friendly language.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with creative problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability on accuracy and data integrity.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Word, Project).
